Last year, we met a wonderful American family who live in Turkey. They were sweet, kind, fun, and love Jesus, and we quickly became friends. Before they left to return to Turkey in the summer, we had decided that we would visit them this year. After much planning and discussion, we made our plans, and we leave today!
They live on the coast of the Aegean Sea.
We will fly into Izmir. Our friends live between Izmir and Troy on this map. I hear it is beautiful.
The seven churches in Asia, addressed by Jesus in the book of Revelation, are in this exact area.
In fact, I am pretty sure will tour the ruins of Ephesus.
Pergamum is very near the village that we will be staying in.
We are really excited about going there, and look forward to spending time with our friends, meeting their friends, serving with them in whatever way. We WILL post pictures.
Do NOT fail to tour Ephesus. Wonderful experience, and the waters of the Aegean were the bluest I had ever seen. Of course, all that I had seen until that time was Galveston. Ha!
