Sweet Fellowship

Wednesday we took another trip to the village nearby, this time to have tea with our friend's Grandmother. She is so precious. She cooked rolls for us, which she served with the hot tea.  She did not eat because she was beginning a fast to celebrate the birth of Mohamed on Thursday, but she wanted to make a treat for us. We had a good visit with her. Before we left, we asked if we could speak a blessing for her, which she agreed to. We spoke the blessing in Numbers 6:24-26 The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." It was an honor to speak a blessing on this dear woman.
We had driven up the mountain, but knew that G. would have to leave before the rest of us, so we planned to walk down. It was raining lightly when we started, but the rain turned into a light mist, and the walk was beautiful.

After a late lunch and a short rest, we prepared to go out again. Our friend who has been ill, was in the hospital from Sunday morning until Tuesday morning. Although she is still on strong antibiotics and not feeling great, she wanted to meet, so we gathered at her home with her friends Wednesday evening. There were about 14 of us, including three children. We had the sweetest time, eating together, singing, praying, visiting, laughing, joking, all the things that close friends do when together.
One of the women said that she has never had a family, but that now, "This is my family".
