Okay - It's Been Two Months Since
I get it. Go ahead as say it. I know you're thinking it. "Hey vacation guy. . . you're LATE."
But I promised you pictures of our wonder vacation back in June, so here they come. Well, at least the start of them. I'm going to have to break this mass of pics up into smaller posts, so I'll do it by the sequence of locations we visited. Maybe this way you won't get all the images confused.
STAGE ONE
Fly DFW to Denver - Drive northwest out of Denver to Estes Park.
Rocky Mountain National Park.
STAGE TWO
Drive from Estes Park, headed north through western Wyoming to Jackson Hole.
About one hour south of Jackson Hole.
Jackson Hole is a vintage western style mining town surrounded by mountain and ski slopes.
We roughed it for two nights in this very nice hotel that backed up to the mountain above.
We love mountain hiking and were able to take an invigorating trek just out our back door.
Jackson Hole sits in a plush valley surrounded by scenic mountains.
After our wonderful hike, we went white water rafting on the Snake River.
(It's called Snake because of its shape - not because of "you-know-what's" in the water). :)
